Introducing:

The Pompey Supercar

A special livery to celebrate 100 years of the City of Portsmouth, pay homage to our city’s most loved independents, and raise money for local charities.

About the Pompey Supercar

We are Portsmouth-born and bred, and wanted our first MCMC livery to celebrate the city we call home. And what better way to do that than to work with talented local designer Dan Stubbs and the local independent businesses that make our city so special, whilst raising funds and awareness for 3 local charities that help our community in their own unique ways.
Where/when can I see the car?

The wrap will be officially revealed by the Two Fast Bros on Monday, 4th May at the iconic Queens Hotel from 11:00-13:00, and we invite you to come down and see it in real life!

If you can’t make it down for the reveal, we’ll be at the following locations on the following dates:

  • Port Solent Car Meet // Sunday 10th May // 9:00-12:00
  • The Club House // Saturday 16th May // 8:00-11:00

Absolutely! You can even sit in it if you like.

Please respect the car, the businesses that gave up space for parking, and the other people engaging with it, and consider making a small donation to one of our charity partners. This could be monetary, using one of the links below, or a non-perishable food item, which will be distributed to the charities’ food banks.

Please note that we will not be collecting any monetary donations. Please make these directly to one of our charity partners. However, we will be collecting non-perishable donations to be distributed to URBOND, which supports over 100 families.

Our charity partners have provided us with a list of the non-perishable items they need most.

  • Pasta Sauce
  • Rice
  • Dried Pasta
  • Sauces, i.e. Ketchup, Mayonnaise, BBQ Sauce
  • Cereal
  • Coffee
  • Sugar
  • Toiletries
  • Crisps
  • Biscuits

Please give any donations to a team member. Please note that we cannot take fresh food donations. If you’d like to donate fresh produce, including cheese, fruit, veg, chicken, etc., please contact URBOND

The Pompey Supercar Livery will adorn the McLaren 540C. An incredible piece of machinery with scooped bodywork, carbon fibre poking through the metalwork and, of course, the iconic McLaren gullwing doors.

It’s powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with 540 brake horsepower. It goes from 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 199 mph. Although the irony of driving a supercar is that you don’t get anywhere fast…but these cars are about enjoying the drive, not trying to get somewhere quickly.

Unfortunately, not, and the car will be turned off whilst it’s parked at hotspots. However, the car will be wrapped for at least two weeks and will be driven around town, so keep an eye out, and you might get to see it in action!

If you see us driving around town, make sure to give us a wave!

Celebrating Independents

This livery wouldn’t exist without the local independent businesses that adorn it, and as much as this project is about raising crucial funds, it’s also about celebrating the local independent businesses that make our city special.

These businesses are run by people who followed their dreams and work tirelessly to bring us great food & coffee. People who restored hotels to their former glory. The people who bring us great clothes and events. Those who put our island city on the map. And these people deserve to be celebrated. Portsmouth wouldn’t be what it is today without these independents, and if we don’t use them, we lose them.

We’d like to thank each independent business that has made a donation, offered a hotspot & supported our project.

Make sure you check them out and let them know you spotted them on the Pompey Supercar.

BTS

It’s been a labour of love. Over 40 hours have gone into wrapping the MCMC McLaren 540C, and we’d like to give a shoutout to South Coast Wrapping for doing such a fantastic job and to Ryan Walker for the BTS shots. Watch the official wrap video here.

The Pompey Supercar Road Trip Playlist

We asked everyone involved in the project to give us their favourite road trip song to create the Pompey Supercar Playlist. Make sure to give it a listen, it’s cracking!

Who are we?

We are a new local business bringing the romance of racing to the road. Our cars are currently available for photoshoots, event appearances, content creation, and, of course, branded livery wraps for PR stunts and campaigns.

Watch this space. Our future plans include building a car club where members can drive our fleet of supercars. You can follow along on our journey as we build this exciting business from scratch.
